Williamsburg Vacation - Part 01

We drove with the Davis'. John and Michelle were coming from Pittsburgh so they met us at the resort that night. Here we are on our way down to Williamsburg Virginia.

Here are some photos from our unit.

A couple of the nights, we played Wii.

John knows who #2 works for.

He is the recreational center where the pool, gym and arcarde was located.

On Saturday morning, we went to the gym to get a nice workout. We think that Jay was bit by a spider or bug because his neck started to hurt and a bump swelled near 2 small marks in his shoulder. His neck hurt him the rest of the trip, but he persevered and the swelling eventually went down.
The resort had an arcade room where all of the games were free play. We spent a lot of time playing here. This video is much more fun.

Our resort also had a minature golf course that you could play. One night it was off to the links. Sarah bested us all this night. One afternoon when no one was on the minature golf course, Jay and John played speed golf. Be sure to check out the video.
A round of golf in under 6 minutes.

The women went to the Yankee Candel Outlet one afternoon.

Williamsburg Vacation - Part 02

We went to Colonial Williamsburg 3 different days. Here we are on the shuttle the first day. Here are some random photos from Colonial Williamsburg. More specific photos follow. We went to the Governor's Palace and it was beautiful. This is the back of the palace that had just been renovated in 2007 in preparation for the visit of Queen Elizabeth of England.
Behind the palace was a maze and a great place to get some photos. The armory is where the colonist had a lot of weapons.
We saw the blacksmith in action and they were busy making nails for the restoration of the Charlton's Coffeehouse. To date, they had made over 14,000 nails. They needed to make at least 4,000 more to complete the project.
Jay recorded this video showing how fast the blacksmith could make a nail.

We had lunch at the Trellis Restaurant in Colonial Willimasburg. The food was delicious.
The recipe for the famous 'death by chocolate' dessert was created at the Trellis, so we had to try it.
Amy like Death by Chocolate.

Jay really wanted to see the cannon fired, which did not disappoint. Be sure to check out the video.

Cannon being fired.

We showed that we were tourist by getting photos of us at the pillory.
