Trumbauersville Community Day

Our town, Trumbauersville has Community Day every year in June. Since we had the Myers children on Saturday evening into Sunday, we decided that this year we would finally walk up to the park and check it out.
While eating hot dogs and soda, we checked out the animal area.
The SWAT truck was pretty cool.
Jay spent some time talking with the county bear trap representative. We were surprised to find out that there was a bear trapped a few weeks ago less than 15 miles away.
After the festivities, we walked back to the house and headed out with the kids on a “Silly Band Frenzy.” After having no success driving around Quakertown and calling Party Hardy, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target and checking out 5 Below, we headed to the Quakertown Q-Mart. We found out that they were closing in 15 minutes so we split up and ran the isles searching the stores for silly bands. By the end of the 15 minutes, we purchased 13 packs of silly bands and headed home. We arrived home just in time to sit down on our front patio and watch the fireworks from community day. What a great evening spent with our nieces and nephew.

Lacher & Associates Picnic

Friday evening was Amy’s company picnic. Amy is on the picnic committee and it was decided that it would be a pirate themed picnic.
When everyone arrived, they chatted until the food was served.
After the meal, the kids did a scavenger hunt complete with a map to find the buried treasures.
Gotta love the eye patches!
As tradition, Jay brings wiffle ball equipment, teams are made and a fierce game of wiffle ball is played. Those not playing cheered in the stands.
Even though Jay’s team was stacked this year, they still lost in a low scoring affair. Regardless, it was fun hanging out with Amy’s coworkers. We are truly blessed that Amy works for such a friendly employer.

Potter's Field Ministry

On Wednesday, The Potter's Field Ministries came to our home church, Calvary Chapel Quakertown. It was our first time seeing this ministry and it was amazing! For those that have not seen the ministry, it is a dramatic and musical presentation that expresses a vivid illustration of the relationship that mankind has with God, The Master Potter and us as the clay.

Memorial Day Picnic

For Memorial Day this year, a lot of our friends were away. However, we were still able to have a few of them at our house for a picnic. Jay’s friend Dan bought his daughter Mercy who played the day away with Alyssa.
Chelle D’Antoni was in to see her parents and she came and hung out for a few hours before having to head back to the airport.
After eating, we discovered that we now have baby rabbits burrowed in our back flower garden. We found this out because a newborn bunny crawled out of the nest and could not find its way back. Thanks to Sarah for putting the bunny back in its home.
After the guys played a game of bocce ball, it started to rain so we hung out inside talking and enjoying everyone’s company.
Happy Memorial Day!

Griff's Birthday

On Sunday, we celebrated Griff’s birthday. After eating lunch, we spent most of the afternoon outside enjoying the awesome weather.
Griff opened his presents.
Braydon enjoyed the welding mask box as it turned out to be a pretty neat ride…with Amy’s help that is.
Baby even got to enjoy his friends as the neighbor dogs came over to say hello.
After presents, Trent, Jesse and Jay played catch for at leadt 45 minutes.
It was a relaxing day and we had a wonderful time. Happy Birthday Griff!

Grammy Foulke's Funeral

Friday afternoon was the memorial service Amy's grandmother, Mary E. Foulke. She had been ill for some time and died earlier in the week.
Those looking at the photo of the coffin may look at it as a sad event. However, Grammy Foulke had been ill for many months and we know that the coffin only contains her physical body. Praise God that her spiritual body is now in Heaven with the Lord! We will see her again, and so can you. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior today!

Andrea's 30th Birthday Surprise

On Saturday evening, several of our friends met at The Olive Garden to surprise Andrea Bessler for her 30th Birthday party. Amy could not attend as she was away for the weekend with her mom and sister in New Jersey spending the day with her grandmother.
Andrea was genuinely surprised and she was glad that she got to spend the night out with her friends.
Happy Birthday Andrea!
