OUR REFERRAL FROM KOREA HAS ARRIVED!
We're going to be parents! Our referral came today from Korea. It's a boy. He is very healthy 6 months old. He is from South Korea and we hope to have him home with us in 4 to 6 months. We know that his first name will be Chase, but we are unsure of his middle name. We have received several photos of him, but unfortunately, as per the agreement that we signed with our adoption agency, we will not posting any photos or videos of Chase until he is officially ours. South Korea is a very technologically advanced country and our agency does not want the birth mother to stumble across any online photos or videos. We are allowed to write about him (as long as we do not use his Korean name) so we will keep everyone updated. Until then, we are busy getting the nursery ready for Chase’s arrival and simply waiting until our son arrives home.
It's A Boy!
Our referral came today from South Korea. It's a boy. His Korean name is Gim il-wu. He was born on December 12, 2009 in Daejeon City, South Korea. His measurements on December 14, 2009 were:
Height: 19.7 inches
Weight: 6.6 pounds
Currently he is a very healthy 6 months old living in a foster home in South Korea. We will have more information soon as we are meeting the Pearl S. Buck International social worker on Saturday afternoon.

Dave Bazzel's Birthday
On Sunday, Dave and Carol Bazzel came to church with us. Afterwards, we went out to eat to celebrate Dave’s birthday.
It was our first time at eating at The Red Lion Inn…and it was excellent!

Trumbauersville Community Day
Our town, Trumbauersville has Community Day every year in June. Since we had the Myers children on Saturday evening into Sunday, we decided that this year we would finally walk up to the park and check it out.
While eating hot dogs and soda, we checked out the animal area.

The SWAT truck was pretty cool.
Jay spent some time talking with the county bear trap representative. We were surprised to find out that there was a bear trapped a few weeks ago less than 15 miles away.
After the festivities, we walked back to the house and headed out with the kids on a “Silly Band Frenzy.” After having no success driving around Quakertown and calling Party Hardy, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target and checking out 5 Below, we headed to the Quakertown Q-Mart. We found out that they were closing in 15 minutes so we split up and ran the isles searching the stores for silly bands. By the end of the 15 minutes, we purchased 13 packs of silly bands and headed home. We arrived home just in time to sit down on our front patio and watch the fireworks from community day. What a great evening spent with our nieces and nephew.

Lacher & Associates Picnic
Friday evening was Amy’s company picnic. Amy is on the picnic committee and it was decided that it would be a pirate themed picnic.
When everyone arrived, they chatted until the food was served.

Potter's Field Ministry
On Wednesday, The Potter's Field Ministries came to our home church, Calvary Chapel Quakertown. It was our first time seeing this ministry and it was amazing! For those that have not seen the ministry, it is a dramatic and musical presentation that expresses a vivid illustration of the relationship that mankind has with God, The Master Potter and us as the clay.

Memorial Day Picnic
For Memorial Day this year, a lot of our friends were away. However, we were still able to have a few of them at our house for a picnic. Jay’s friend Dan bought his daughter Mercy who played the day away with Alyssa.
Chelle D’Antoni was in to see her parents and she came and hung out for a few hours before having to head back to the airport.
After eating, we discovered that we now have baby rabbits burrowed in our back flower garden. We found this out because a newborn bunny crawled out of the nest and could not find its way back. Thanks to Sarah for putting the bunny back in its home.

Griff's Birthday
On Sunday, we celebrated Griff’s birthday. After eating lunch, we spent most of the afternoon outside enjoying the awesome weather.

Griff opened his presents.

Braydon enjoyed the welding mask box as it turned out to be a pretty neat ride…with Amy’s help that is.

Baby even got to enjoy his friends as the neighbor dogs came over to say hello.
