Jay's Disk Golf Birthday

Today we went to Tinicum Park to celebrate Jay‘s birthday. Jay wanted to go to Tinicum Park so that he could play disk golf at his favorite course.
The kids enjoyed themselves throughout the day by playing on the playground.
After playing the front 9, we all met back and ate sandwiches. Kara also made Jay’s favorite cake, angel food cake for us to enjoy.

Celebrating Madalyn and Bailey's Birthday

Tuesday evening we went to Jay’s parents to spend some time with Jay’s sister and her children. They have been visiting for a few weeks from Georgia and soon will be heading home. We also wanted to celebrate Madalyn’s birthday which will be on August 15th. Since we were celebrating Madalyn’s birthday, we also celebrated Bailey’s birthday which was on April 26th. They both enjoyed their presents.Later in the evening, the girls showed us all of their Silly Bands. They also worked on making their projects form the gifts that we got them.
We then had a great time playing Apples to Apples.
During the game, Jay was getting frustrated with Madalyn’s silly answers. Since they were eating marshmallows, Jay got a great idea at getting revenge on Madalyn. He loaded up a marshmallow in his mouth,
got close to Madalyn, and let it rip.
Unfortunately we did not get a photo of the event, but the marshmallow stuck to Madalyn’s chin. Jay laughed the hardest he has ever laughed.
Jay modified this photo to show everyone what he saw.
After all of the laughing stopped, it was time to say goodbye.

Jay's Softball Tournament With Bethel Baptist

On Saturday, Jay played in an all day softball tournament with Bethel Baptist. He got recruited to play with Bethel because their left center fielder hurt his arm and could not play. Since they won the tournament last year, Bethel wanted to make sure that they had a solid team.

The team did not hit the ball that well in the first three games. They won their first and second game by a score of 7-6 and then lost the third game by 6 runs. After the third game, they had to wait for 2 hours to find out if they would continue in the tournament or if they were done. The cards fell in their favor and they were able to continue. Throughout the rest of the tournament, the team hit and fielded awesomely. Their sixth and final game was the championship game. They won the game and Jay was ecstatic. Our churches softball team, Calvary Chapel of Quakertown did not do that well in their inaugural season, so Jay felt extra special to be a part of a winning team. Plus the trophy was enormous.
Here is a photo of the winning team.

Shady Maple

Today after work, Jay got a call from his mom asking if he wanted to go to Shady Maple to celebrate Madalyn’s birthday. Wendy, Madalyn and Bailey have been visiting from Georgia for the past few weeks so Grammy wanted to take them out to eat at one of her favorite places. They met at Jay’s parent’s house, played a quick game, and then headed off to Shady Maple.
At Shady Maple, everyone filled their bellies and they all had a great time.
Thanks Grammy for a great time!

Mini Golf Date

Tonight we had a date night at Freddy’s Family Fun Center. It had been some time since just the two of us had been miniature golfing. We chose the Waterfront Adventure course because the other course was packed full of people.
About half way through the course, we had to get a photo of us in front of the waterfall.
As we got closer to the 18th hole, Jay was getting nervous because even though Amy is the self described, “designated loser,” she was actually winning. Jay tried, but no matter what he did, Amy kept getting better scores. She eventually won the game.
Here is the winning scorecard as proof of Amy's victory!
After mini golf, Jay wanted to hit in the batting cages to prepare for an upcoming softball tournament.
We ended the nice romantic evening by getting Rita’s water ice before heading home.

Chase's Nursery

Amy added decorations to Chase’s nursery. Since his theme is Dr. Seuss ABC, we went to Target and got sticky letters to hang on the walls. Amy is sure to have more decorating ideas, but for now, we think that it turned out great!

We also got Chase’s 7 month checkup. The doctor that we are working with has not contacted us to discuss the results, but by the looks of the new photo, everything looks great.
This photo was an extra special photo because two weeks ago we sent Chase a care package. We hope that the next photo will have him wearing some of his new clothes.

Grammy's 85th Birthday

On Sunday, we celebrated Grammy’s birthday with a large family party at Jay’s parent’s house. This event had been planned for a long time and many family members from all over the country came to honor Grammy Gardocki. Of course with all celebrations, there was plenty of food.
After eating, we gathered around Grammy with a large cake and sang Happy Birthday!
Before everyone left, we tried getting the family together for a family photo. Some of the children and a few adults were at the pool, but we think that the photo is pretty impressive.

Trumbauersville Fair With Small Group

Friday night we our small group went to the fair at the Trumbauersville Fire Company. Since we live so close, we decided that we would walk to the fair.
Luke loved the fire trucks.
Avery and Maya loved the rides.
Luke did not like any of the rides!
John and Michelle tried so hard to get Luke to ride on a ride and when they were about to give up, Luke decided to go on a ride with Maya.

The Trumbauersville fair is not that big, but we still had a good time with our friends.
