Barb's Birthday Get-Together

On Sunday, we celebrated Barb’s birthday. Griff prepared delicious burgers and steak and afterwards we had a lot of desserts to choose from. Barb’s big gift from the family was James Taylor and Carole King concert tickets.
The highlight of the day was playing Wii with the family. We played the Nintendo game Lifeforce and had a lot of fun trying to beat the game with the 30 lives cheat code. Gwen did not do very well.

Afterwards, Jesse was looking on the virtual console download section of the Wii and Braydon started dancing to the background music. Griff turned up the sound and the whole house turned into a dance party.

Happy Birthday Barb and thanks for a fun day!

Visiting Pappy

While driving home from sales training in Ohio, Jay saw on his GPS that he was very close to where his Pappy was buried. Pappy died almost 2 years ago after a long battle of heart and other health issues. Jay was not sad about seeing his Pappy’s grave because he knows that Pappy is happy and healthy in Heaven. We know that we will see him again.
We love you PAPPY!

Bike Night

This past week, Jay had sales training in Ohio. One night the group of guys went out to eat at the Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant. When they arrived, they found out that it was bike night. This was Jay favorite set of motorcycles.
One of the fun events that they had was a race to see who could drive the slowest. It was pretty corny, but the bikes were lined up and on go they had to race the slowest without touching the ground.
Here is a video of the actual winner.

They stayed for about 2 hours and in that time, Jay said that there must have been over 500 bikes driving in and out of the parking lot.
What a nice way for Jay to get away from the stress of training.

Braydon's Birthday

Braydon turned 2 on Saturday. We had a nice time at the Godfrey house with family. It is amazing that with all the presents that Braydon received, we think that he liked the tissue paper wrapping the best. He spent over 15 minutes shaking tissue paper with Amy screaming with excitement.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAYDON!

Easter With Baby

For Easter this year we decided that we would put a treat inside a plastic egg and have Baby open it up. We thought that it would go really quick, but as it turns out, Baby is like a real baby…if he doesn’t see it, it must have disappeared.

Check out Baby’s Blog to see the video of him “TRYING” to open the egg and get the treat.

After about 2 minutes, we opened the egg for him and let him enjoy his treat.

Easter Sunday With Braydon

On Easter Sunday, we went to Griff and Barb’s house to celebrated Easter with the family. Braydon and Addison came in their new Easter attire so we had to get a photo of them together.
After dinner, we spent most of the afternoon outside while plastic eggs filled with raisins were hidden Braydon with the help of Barb found them throughout the yard. Once they were all found, the eggs were hidden again.
At times, we were not sure who was having more fun…Braydon or Barb.
Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins AND more importantly conquering death by rising again on the third day so that we can have eternal life.

Busy Day With Lola And The Myers' Children

On Wednesday evening, the Hill’s dropped Lola off at our house. Today, we also had the Myers’ children over for an action packed day. The morning started with Amy taking the dogs for a long walk around 8:00am. While Jay went to work, Amy and the Myers’ children dyed Easter eggs. When Jay got home, we all went outside for a picnic lunch and some rollerblading and races on the street. We then went to the park where Jay and Tyler played Frisbee golf. Amy, Kayla and Emily played on the playground with the Baby and Lola close by their sides. After walking back from the park, we played Wii for a bit and then capped off the night with a dinner out at Red Robin. After dropping the kids back home, we came home. While watching television, Baby and Lola were exhaustedly resting on the couch recovering from a very active day.
WE LOVE OUR LIFE…THANK YOU GOD!
