Mini Golf Date

Tonight we had a date night at Freddy’s Family Fun Center. It had been some time since just the two of us had been miniature golfing. We chose the Waterfront Adventure course because the other course was packed full of people.
About half way through the course, we had to get a photo of us in front of the waterfall.
As we got closer to the 18th hole, Jay was getting nervous because even though Amy is the self described, “designated loser,” she was actually winning. Jay tried, but no matter what he did, Amy kept getting better scores. She eventually won the game.
Here is the winning scorecard as proof of Amy's victory!
After mini golf, Jay wanted to hit in the batting cages to prepare for an upcoming softball tournament.
We ended the nice romantic evening by getting Rita’s water ice before heading home.

Chase's Nursery

Amy added decorations to Chase’s nursery. Since his theme is Dr. Seuss ABC, we went to Target and got sticky letters to hang on the walls. Amy is sure to have more decorating ideas, but for now, we think that it turned out great!

We also got Chase’s 7 month checkup. The doctor that we are working with has not contacted us to discuss the results, but by the looks of the new photo, everything looks great.
This photo was an extra special photo because two weeks ago we sent Chase a care package. We hope that the next photo will have him wearing some of his new clothes.

Grammy's 85th Birthday

On Sunday, we celebrated Grammy’s birthday with a large family party at Jay’s parent’s house. This event had been planned for a long time and many family members from all over the country came to honor Grammy Gardocki. Of course with all celebrations, there was plenty of food.
After eating, we gathered around Grammy with a large cake and sang Happy Birthday!
Before everyone left, we tried getting the family together for a family photo. Some of the children and a few adults were at the pool, but we think that the photo is pretty impressive.

Trumbauersville Fair With Small Group

Friday night we our small group went to the fair at the Trumbauersville Fire Company. Since we live so close, we decided that we would walk to the fair.
Luke loved the fire trucks.
Avery and Maya loved the rides.
Luke did not like any of the rides!
John and Michelle tried so hard to get Luke to ride on a ride and when they were about to give up, Luke decided to go on a ride with Maya.

The Trumbauersville fair is not that big, but we still had a good time with our friends.

Single Rainbow

We are not sure how many of you have seen the video: “Double Rainbow,” but a link to the YouTube video is HERE. Anyway, we really like this weird video and have seen many other videos online mocking the original. While driving in Quakertown this evening, we saw a rainbow in the sky.
Amy grabbed her iPhone and could not resist making her own “Single Rainbow” video.

All kidding aside, it had been forever since the last time we saw a full rainbow from end to end. It was truly beautiful and we could not help but be reminded of the meaning of the rainbow.
And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. (Genesis 9:12-15 – NKJV)
So the next time you see a rainbow, remember that God judges sin. However, He is merciful and He made a covenant of grace with Noah and the animals that He would never again judge with a worldwide flood. The rainbow, as a symbol of Christ, reminds us that He is the mediator between man and God and that those who receive the free gift of salvation are presented faultless before their Creator.

Valentin Picnic

On Sunday, we went to Jose and Kristen’s house for an afternoon picnic. Poppy and Kay were visiting so it made for a great day to get together.
We spent a lot of the time catching up with everyone while Jose made the food on the grill.
After lunch, some of the family went swimming.
Jay and Jose had a great time jumping on the trampoline after playing a few rounds of ladder golf.
What a relaxing and fun visit with our family!

Amy's Baby Shower

Today was the day that Amy had been dreaming about for so many years. She had been to so many of her friends and families baby showers and longed for the day when one would be held for her child. The shower was held at the Blue Bell Country Club. A private room was reserved and decorated for the special occasion.
A catered meal was provided and of course there was a cake for everyone to enjoy.
The baby shower was supposed to be a surprise. However, as started Amy had been wishing for a baby shower of her own for so long that it was impossible to keep it a secret from her. She knew immediately that today was the big day.
After Amy’s arrival, the food was served.
All of the guests enjoyed the meal and cake while Amy made the rounds and chatted with each table.
After eating, it was Amy’s favorite time…present time! We received almost everything from our registry and more. We thank God that we are so blessed to have such loving friends and family members.
Amy loved her baby shower and we cannot wait until Chase is finally home.
